The Village of Pewaukee Police Department made an arrest after there were reports of shots being fired.
On Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at approximately 9:54 pm, Pewaukee Police Officers were called on scene after shots were reported in the 100 block at Marshall Street.
Initial reports stated that the gunfire sounded to be from an automatic weapon.
As the officers arrived on scene, they found several spent casing. Upon further investigation, they discovered that a nearby residence had been struck.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
Shortly afterwards, the officers took a 51 year old male into custody as a suspect.
The suspect was located at a nearby residence at the 100 block of George street. A firearm was also recovered at the residence.
Any forthcoming charges will be referred to the Waukesha County District’s Attorney’s Office. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, the Hartland Police, the Butler Police, and the Hartford Police departments all showed up to help assist.
The incident is currently still under investigation but there is no ongoing threat to the community.
According to community reports, local residents and those nearby placed dozens of calls to emergency services, with one person even claiming that her residence was struck during the event
Local Pewaukee law generally bans the discharge of rifles, pistols, machine guns, or cannons within city limits except at authorized gun clubs or ranges
Pewaukee does not have exemptions enabling civilian possession beyond what is allowed under state or federal law.
