After a long 17-month hiatus, Fiesta Cancun in downtown Oconomowoc has finally reopened its doors, much to the delight of its owners, Debbie Contreras-Tadych and Marcos Contreras, as well as their loyal customers.
The popular Mexican restaurant was forced to close after a devastating fire on March 10, 2023. Now, the owners are thrilled to welcome both longtime patrons and new visitors back to enjoy their vibrant and flavorful dishes.
According to a recent article from the Waukesha Freeman, the owners are still ironing out some final details as they get back into the swing of things. They’re asking for a bit of patience from their customers as they continue to work out any lingering kinks.

We are in immense gratitude to MSI General Corporation for their leadership, guidance, and vision! Huge shout out to John Tadych (aka Fiesta!) and John Lompa (and others!) for the countless hours they have been putting in to get everything ready,” the post read.
As the community eagerly returns to Fiesta Cancun, the excitement is palpable. The reopening of this beloved restaurant marks a fresh start and a renewed opportunity for customers to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine right in the heart of Oconomowoc.
