Full Spoon Gives Lake Country a Boost

Right off the shore of Lac La Belle, a young, female entrepreneur has brought a whole new experience to downtown Oconomowoc. Salina Judkins opened Full Spoon Grab and Go in 2023 on Main Street, just steps away from the lakefront. Her mission was simple but unique: To bring fast, healthy options to the community. A year and a half after opening, the trendy spot bustles with Salina’s bubbly personality and passion.

Full Spoon offers something that no one else in the area does: Real fruit smoothies. Several years ago, Salina noticed that there was no place she could go to find a smoothie that was both tasty and nutritious. “I’m really into fitness”, She says, stating how after going to the gym she “Couldn’t find anything quick… There was a lot of bar food around, but not everybody wants that after working out and sometimes you don’t have time for a sit down restaurant.”

The bright young woman was inspired. After growing up in Lake Country, she saw the opportunity to give her community a new and healthy option. “I thought I’d try it now when I’m young and if it works out, that would be awesome!”

With the help of a local chef, Salina worked hard to build a menu that prioritizes fresh ingredients. Full Spoon offers sandwiches, wraps, and bowls that are natural and unprocessed. They also sell a massive array of gluten free goodies. Originally, they only offered a gluten free peanut butter cookie, but the customer response was so overwhelmingly positive, that they decided to add a full selection of gluten free cookies, donuts, and muffins. The real star of the show is Full Spoon’s smoothie options, which can be customized with additions such as protein powder, collagen, and raw honey. Salina’s personal recommendation is the Shorty Cake smoothie, which apparently “Tastes exactly like strawberry shortcake! It’s so good.”

Full Spoon has also made an impression on Lake Country by housing a year-round mini farmers market. Guests can purchase items such as soy blend candles, tallow lotions, and organic cold pressed juices from local vendors. Many of these handmade products have been created by Salina’s friends and show her zeal for promoting entrepreneurship in the area.

After a year and a half, Salina has truly made the space her own. Her style and intuition are on full display, from her upbeat music to her joyful collection of plants. “Almost everything in the shop is second hand,” She says, pointing out interesting decor such as a retro bicycle sitting atop a bookshelf. She has a full selection of second hand books in her little library, which encourages people to “Leave a book, take a book!” The same policy also applies to a shelf of second hand mugs, where people are encouraged to leave their old ones and take a different used one.

Another way she’s changing the status quo? Her picnic basket rental program, which allows guests to rent a fully packed picnic basket, complete with some of the store’s yummiest offerings, for a small fee.

Salina’s passion for her community is as clear as her passion for healthy, fresh food. Every Wednesday, she does a Full Spoon pop-up shop at the local Burn Boot Camp. She talks about these evenings with so much passion, noting how children and adults rush to her stand with excitement, eager to get their favorite smoothie. Full Spoon offers so much more than just standard faire, but has created an experience unlike any other, one that aims to serve Lake Country the very best.
