On Wednesday, December 10, the Hartland Lakeside School Board held its monthly meeting, where information about the school’s report card data revealed that Arrowhead has been exceeding statewide expectations.

The meeting began with abrief performance from Arrowhead High School’s broadway company, which was a beautiful way to show off the school’s artistic merits.

After, Eric Larsen gave an update on the school’s report card and explained some of the data. Larsen, a representative from CESA (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) stated that Arrowhead was the only union district in the state of Wisconsin that was categorized as “significantly exceeding expectations”.

Larsen also shared that the school’s growth scores jumped from a 58% last year, in 2024, to a 79% this year, in 2025. Growth scores help measure how students are performing each year in comparison to the previous year. That is a percentage increase of over 20%.

The growth of students in the lowest performance percentile also improved, rising from 61% to over 85% over the span of the past year. The improvement found in this targeted group of students is a major contributing factor the the schools overall growth rate percentage.

Likewise, achievement scores were either the same or higher than 98.4% of other high schools throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Larsen also shared that Arrowhead currently has a 99.5% graduation rate.

The board meeting also determined that the graduation date would not change for the upcoming end of the 2025 – 2026 school year. The date of June 6th will be the official graduation date.

The board also discussed their annexation into the Village of Hartland. This would move the school from Merton into Hartland. A petition to send this proposal to the Hartland Village Board was passed unanimously by the school board. This municipal change petition would not affect districts or feeder schools. It would only help move the school closer to emergency services, improving safety.

Other topics discussed included building and grounds, approving the following school year’s curriculum, collaboration on the school board for efficiency.

The meeting concluded with discussions about policy. Topics covered included open enrollment policy language, approval of credits required for graduation, and sex designation.
