The Pewaukee Kiwanis Beach party has earned a statewide reputation for being one the best weekend summer events in Wisconsin. This year, the beloved two day festival is celebrating its 29th anniversary and is scheduled to be held on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21. Festivities such as the Backstage Bar open each day 5 p.m., but there is non-stop fun to be had throughout both days. The Beach Party will be held on Pewaukee’s glamorous beach front, where the road will be shut down to vehicle traffic, so that the space can be safely used for the event.
The Pewaukee Kiwanis Beach Party is more than just an entertaining community gathering- it’s a way to give back to Pewaukee and its residents. For 2025, there is a major focus on raising money for the local water clean up efforts. The Kiwanis Club aims to help preserve and protect the area’s waterways, while also bringing attention to the growing need for conservation and safeguards. As the land around the lake has developed and urbanized over the past few years, there is an increasing need to protect the lake’s wildlife habitats, manage environmental changes, and address rising pollutant concerns. The Beach Party is a fun way to bring attention to these shifts in the Pewaukee water system.
The Beach Party is expected to be packed to the gills- Not only with lake loving locals, but with endless food, drinks, and entertainment. The party kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday evening as the Backstage Bar begins service and the Fireman’s Booth starts selling its famous corn on the cob. The aptly named band “Block Party” will perform from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., while visitors can participate in pull tabs and raffles throughout the evening.
The following day, there are even more family friendly festivities available. There is a pancake breakfast scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. at the Freemasons Lodge #42 stage tent. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., there will be various children’s activities such as face painting, library crafts, and a performance by the band “Pineapple Daddy and the Coconuts”. Later in the day, “Montage” will perform until 5 p.m., and the party will close out with a performance by the band “33 RPM”. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats will be available throughout the day. Vendors will also be set up for the event, including local favorites such as Snowie Snow Cones and Dream Chinese Food.
One of the highlights on Saturday will be the water activities performed by the Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club. Their entertaining stunts are always delightful, and are a great way to bring attention back to the Beach Party’s main purpose: Keeping the lake clean.
