The Town of Delafield is looking to its residents for guidance in how the future of the community will take shape.

The 2025 – 2026 Resident Survey is a way for all of Delafield’s residents to voice their opinions on what services and projects the community should seek to prioritize in the coming year. It will also be a tool to help guide the future of of the municipality through long term projects.

The feedback that will be collected from the surgery will go towards better understanding how to handle the town’s future parks and recreation projects, land usage, and developments. It also serves as a way to ensure that residents can help oversee how environmentally friendly these developments are. In the long term, the survey is intended to help create a firm infrastructure and improve everyone’s quality of life for generations.

All residents within the Town of Delafield are invited to participate and complete the online survey, which can be found here.

Town officials have asked residents to participate early so that they can encourage their neighbors and fellow community members to also participate in the survey. The more residents give thoughtful feedback, the better that Delafield’s leaders can understand where to focus their attention.

Questions ask residents about their satisfaction with Town services, which spending projects they prioritize, and garbage contracts. The survey also raises questions about funding, such as “Lake Country Fire & Rescue has expressed interest in fully staffing all fire stations within the seven communities it serves. Would you be willing to pay an additional amount in property taxes to help fund the staffing and equipment needed to achieve this?” as well as the distribution of funds for a new skatepark.

As 2026 approaches, one of the major projects scheduled for the Town of Delafield is replacing the pavement on a section of Silvernail Frontage Road that stretches from Maple Avenue to Elmhurst Road. The 1.2 mile long strip of road will also receive shoulder improvements, culvert replacements, and upgrades to the signing throughout the stretch of road. The project was initially scheduled for 2028 but was moved up to 2026 as funding became available.
