President Donald Trump’s return to the Oval Office began with a week long slew of executive orders. Trump was sworn into his second Presidential term on January 20, 2025. The swearing in ceremony was particularly notable, because it was only the second time in American history where a President was sworn in for a second non-consecutive term. According to a post on Trump’s Truth Social account, the aggregate number of viewers for the inauguration surpassed 80 million.
Following Trump’s return, he immediately set to work on signing an array of executive orders. Throughout the week, more actions were announced with live coverage. A week later, here is a rundown of some of the most talked about orders to come from the desk of the White House in the past week:
-Rescinding 73 of former President Joe Biden’s executive orders
-Requiring government employees to return to in-person working arrangements
-Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement

-Pardoning the sentences of all individuals convicted of offenses related to the January 6, 2021 Capitol protests
