Wangard’s Locklyn Oconomowoc Apartments Make Elite Ranking
March 18, 2025

The Locklyn Apartments in Oconomowoc have been nationally recognized as one of the best properties for residential experiences. The apartments were ranked as the 181st greatest property experience in the country. Out of over 144,000 properties throughout the United States, the Locklyn’s high ranking placed it on the Elite top 1% list. The list was put together by J Turner Research as part of the 2024 Elite ORA® Power Ranking. This prestigious status comes as a great honor to both the property and the community it serves.

Wangard Partners is a Milwaukee based investment real estate company. Since its founding in 1994, the group has worked hard to create and maintain strong communities throughout Wisconsin. The Locklyn Apartments have been a shining example of the company’s dedication to the community. Rankings for the Elite 1% List are assessed based on properties having a high ORA® score as well as positive online feedback. The Locklyn’s score clocks in at 96, which is an outstandingly high and rare number. Another Wangard managed property in Wauwatosa, the Reef Apartments, also achieved the prestigious score of 96. The only Wisconsin property with a higher ranking is 7Seventy7 in Downtown Milwaukee, managed by Bozzuto.

Located just a short distance from both Oconomowoc Lake and Silver Lake, the apartments have become a welcome addition to the community. Their short distance from the downtown area gives them a spacious feeling, while also allowing residents access to nearby businesses. Since their opening, the Locklyn has provided a comfortable, safe place for occupants to call home. Wangard has paid close attention to maintaining a series of high standards. Serving its residents with luxurious amenities, the property has created a community that fosters positive, friendly, and creative local interactions.

Oconomowoc’s population has increased consistently over the past years. Between 2010 and 2020, the city saw a 15.35% rise in population. The new residents have created a higher demand for quality living spaces. So far in 2025, over 70 newly built homes have been listed in the area. As the town seems to expand in population by about 1% per year, the demand for properties such as the Locklyn may continue to rise. Oconomowoc placed a cap on multifamily housing units. However, that threshold has already been crossed. Due to these setbacks, there is uncertainty over new property development in the future.
