The Lake Country DockHounds, Oconomowoc’s very own American Association baseball team, has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.
The team’s schedule is set to kick off on May 15 against the Gary Southshore Railcats. The first three games of the DockHound’s season will see them playing at home before hitting the road for a week long stretch of baseball that will take them to Sioux Falls and Kansas City.
The 2026 will then run through the summer months with the team’s last game scheduled to be held on Monday, September 7 against the Sioux City Explorers.
The DockHounds are slated to have most of their Mondays off, apart from a few exceptions (May 18, June 22, August 24, and September 7).They will also have Thursday, August 27 off after a three game series at home against the Kane County Cougars.
Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16 there will be a break in the team’s schedule for the All Star Games.
Playoffs will begin on Wednesday, September 9 if the team qualifies.
This year, in 2025, the Lake Country DockHounds qualified for the playoffs but lost in a two game shutout against the Chicago Dogs. In 2024, the team also qualified but similarly lost in a two game shutout against the Kane County Cougars.
Despite winning the East Division title, the team has had a bad history with its playoff appearances thus far. The team has yet to win a single game any of their playoff games.
Despite this, they ended 2025 strong, with 55 wins and 45 losses. This is an improvement over the 2024 season, which saw them winning only 53 games and losing 47.
As the team continues to grow, leaders like Brain Rey and Ryan Hernandez stood out as excellent players in 2025, though it has not been confirmed which members of the team’s roster will be returning for the 2026 season.
Despite the 2025 AA baseball season having come to an end, fans still have plenty to look forward to as the DockHounds continue their community outreach throughout the off season.
Every Sunday from November 2 through December 7, the team will host brunch buffets, local vendors, and a Packers watch party inside the club level at WBC Park.
Other events, such as bingo nights and the upcoming chili cookout are intended to keep people curious about the team all year long.
