DELAFIELD, Wis. — The former Seven Seas restaurant on Lake Nagawicka, an iconic space once owned by the Weissgerber family, has reopened under the renowned Bartolotta restaurant name.
Now called The Commodore, this fine dining and events venue has been redeveloped in partnership with Jay Franke and HF Hospitality Group, according to WTMJ.
Originally opened as Hasslinger’s Pleasant View Hotel & Resort in 1902, the building has undergone a transformation that honors its historical legacy while incorporating contemporary touches. Chef Paul Bartolotta, co-founder of The Bartolotta Restaurants, emphasized the dedication to preserving the rich history of Nagawicka Lake and Lake Country during his appearance on WTMJ’s The Upswing.
The menu features timeless American classics with a modern twist, including Beef Wellington for Two, Wiener Schnitzel, Seared Georges Bay Sea Scallops, and Roasted Atlantic Halibut. Chef Bartolotta noted that the kitchen will celebrate Wisconsin’s local produce, highlighting contributions from farmers, cheesemakers, and creameries.
The Commodore is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. CST, promising to create new legacies and memories for the Lake Country community.
