Wisco Joe Coffee Co. is the local coffee company that is making Lake Country proud. The business is based out of Hartland, Wisconsin and offers a wide range of blended, craft roasted coffee made from 100% Arabica beans. Every day, Wisco Joe roasts their fresh beans to perfection, ensuring that each cup of their coffee is packed with flavor.
Earlier this summer, Wisco Joe opened their first brick and mortar store. It sits right along the Merton Millpond, offering a scenic summery view. Located at W282N7220 Main St. in Merton, this budding new shop maintains the charming street’s character while also creating a fresh, lively environment.
It is open every day except Monday, and usually stays open until around 8 p.m., although it does close at noon on Sundays.
Although they’re well known for their coffees, the Wisco Joe storefront has food and drink favorites that keep guests coming by all day long. I the morning, they serve their famous drip coffee, cold brew, lattes, and even a fun drink of the month, which allows the talented baristas to show off their creative side. June’s drink of the month was a peanut butter mocha that tasted like a refreshing take on a Reese’s.
Alongside their morning beverage options, there are also tons of quick bites such as bagels, avocado toast, and spinach egg white bites.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a completely different atmosphere. After 2 p.m., the space transforms into something more closely related to a beer garden. Wisco Joe has a small menu of beers and both red and white wines by the glass. They sell Flourchild pizzas, a from scratch pizza brand located in Milwaukee that has become a Wisconsin hit. They also have family favorite fun snacks like soft pretzels, popcorn, and ice cream sandwiches which are served to be both elevated and affordable.
Wisco Joe only offers outdoor seating, meaning that it’s probably best to skip on rainy days but has an unforgettable appeal when the weather is warm and the sun is shining. Located right beside a portion of the Bugline recreational trail, it’s a fun place to pick up snacks after a long bike ride or to grab a coffee to take along on a hike.
