The award winning Milwaukee Maker’s Market is making its first endeavor west.

On Sunday, November 9, the acclaimed market made its first appearance outside of Milwaukee County. The marketplace was held at Davian’s, an event space located in Menomonee Falls.

The Milwaukee Maker’s Market has earned an incredible reputation for itself over the last few years. Typically held at event spaces in downtown Milwaukee such as Discovery World and The Ivy House, it has become a southeast Wisconsin staple. It features dozens of artists, craftspeople, and local entrepreneurs who are of the highest quality. In 2025, it even added American Family Field to its list of venues.

That quality is reflected in the acclaim earned by the Maker’s Market. Its popularity has grown since its inception. It won the award for Best Art and Craft Fair in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Its founder, Ryan Laessig, won the “Local Entrepreneur” award as well.

The Market has also grown in another way, opening its very own retail space, the M. M. Marketplace. This one stop shop is open on a weekly basis and features the handcrafted creations of more than 50 local businesses. The Makers Market typically only happens once a month at a variety of locations, so this steady brick and mortar location allows small businesses to constantly grow their brand and expand their business.

This weekend’s holiday version of the Maker’s Market will run from 10 am to 4 pm, and will feature over 35 different vendors. It’s a great place to begin the Christmas shopping season.

Like all of the Maker’s Markets, this is free to attend. There will also be free parking in the lot in front of Davian’s. Further, there is a cash bar, food trucks, and lots of fun holiday feelings that are sure to set the mood.

As the year comes to a close, there will be three more Maker’s Markets. One on November 29th at Discovery World, one of December 7th at Prairie Springs on Park, and the final on December 21st, also at Discovery World.

For everything from candles to artists to natural body care items, the market has it all. It’s a way to support local businesses and spotlight entrepreneurs who have a strong creative vision and a passion for their work.
