The Lake Country Dockhounds have announced a new fundraising campaign, the “Houndscare Initiative“, which is looking to give $250,000 to local nonprofit organizations.
The new program is a way for the team to “Pay It Fur-ward” for their upcoming 2026 baseball season, but helping out some of the area’s non profit groups and community’s charitable organizations.
The nonprofits who are a part of the initiative will earn as much as $10 for every single ticket sold at a DockHounds game during the 2026 season. The team has pledged to donate up to $250,000, giving the area a way to support some of the charitable organizations working to help those in need.
The Lake Country DockHounds have asked nearby schools, charities, and community organizations to become participants in the Houndscare Initiative. By getting involved early, they are helping to make sure that they will both raise funds as well as receive recognition during a 2026 home game at WBC Park in Oconomowoc.
‘Grand Slam Games’ will see organizations raise $10 per ticket sold. ‘Home Run Games’ will said $8 per ticket sold, and ‘Base Hit Games’ will earn $5 per ticket sold.
“Our fans and our community are at the heart of everything we do,” said Bryan Giese, Director of Marketing for the Lake Country DockHounds. “With the HoundsCare Initiative, we’re giving local organizations a platform to raise meaningful funds while celebrating the spirit of Lake Country together at the ballpark.”
“Whether it’s supporting youth programs, animal rescues, or local food pantries, we want to make an impact that lasts far beyond the baseball field,” added Giese.
As the team looks ahead to the 2026 season, they are keeping WBC Park busy all winter long as they find new ways to bring fans into the stadium.
The holiday season has been especially busy, as the team focuses on creating valuable community events. On Wednesday, December 10, the team is hosting a ‘Holiday Winnings Bingo’ on the Club Level of WBC Park. The special bingo night will give participants the chance to win bottles of bourbon, gift cards, and even cash prizes.
They have also been hosting ‘Awesome Sundays’, featuring a Bloody Mary bar and hot ham and rolls from Albrecht’s Sentry and Brunch with Santa events at the stadium.
