Even the hottest, sunniest summers will still have a few rainy days. In Lake Country, there’s nothing worse than planning a family beach day or a trip out on the boat, only for some storm clouds to stop the fun.

Thankfully, the Lake Country area has so much to see, do, and explore. Here are some of the best rainy day activities for the whole family to enjoy:

Sky Zone

Sky Zone Trampoline Park is one of the best ways for both kids and adults to burn off a little energy. There is a joust, dodgeball, basketball, and a ninja warrior course that everyone can enjoy. For younger children, there is a toddler area where parents can feel comfortable about the safety of their little ones. There is also a snack bar as well as space to sit and rest between exciting moments of trampoline fun.

Soul Fire Art Studio

For those who might be looking for a slower paced family activity, Soul Fire Art Studio in Delafield is the perfect choice. They have an open, do it yourself style pottery studio. Guests can choose from a variety of art projects, including their kiln fired earthenware and stoneware, glass fusing, canvas painting, and chalk painted designer boards. It’s a fun space to bring people together in a creative way, giving kids an adults an artistic opportunity.

Bug & Goose Play Cafe

Bug & Goose has two local play cafes, one in Elm Grove and one in Delafield. These provide spaces for those with young children to play games, interact with toys, and be as imaginative as possible. At the same time, their parents and guardians are nearby, enjoying beverages like coffee, teas, and hot chocolate. It allows adults and children to spend time with one another, while each having the space to do what they please in a safe environment.

Books and Company

There’s no better way to beat a rainy day than with a trip to the bookstore. In Oconomowoc, Books and Company has an incredible selection of books for children, teens, and adults. They have toys, puzzles, and games available for sale alongside their enormous selection of reading material. Especially during summer, a book store trip can be a great way to keep kids learning through the summer chaos.
