The nationally acclaimed bakery and cafe chain, Great Harvest, has opened a new location in Menomonee Falls.
On Friday, November 14, Great Harvest Menomonee Falls opened its doors at N71W13082 W. Appleton Ave., Unit 200. The freshly designed space was crafted by VJS Construction, who assisted in building out the 2500 square foot section of an already existing multi tenant property. Additions included several new food prep areas, lots of extra storage space, and both a large cooler and an industrial revolving oven,
The store’s Grand Opening ceremony kicked off as the bakery opened its doors at 7 am. The first 50 customers were eligible to receive a free scone. Customers were also given the opportunity to win Great Harvest Bread for a year when they signed up for the business’s new rewards program during their grand opening week.
Between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm, customers were invited to attend a ribbon ceremony hosted by the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier this week, the new location finalized their cafe, coffee, and baked goods menu. Each Great Harvest location has a different list of offerings, setting it apart from other nearby locations such as Elm Grove and Delafield.
Some of their daily breads will include honey whole wheat, farmhouse white, cinnamon chip, and pepperoni roll. When asked about sourdough and dakota breads, both of which are popular offerings at other franchise locations, the business stated that they “will eventually be rotated in, this is just our opening menu!”
They will also be offering a full lineup of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as salads, coffee drinks, tea, and a variety of baked goods.
Great Harvest is known for their bread for a reason: All of their flour is sourced from their farms located in Montana’s Golden Triangle. The company states that “the comparison [we use is] that the Golden Triangle is to wheat what Napa Valley is to wine.”
After extensive testing, the wheat is then turned into freshly milled flour and sent to Great Harvest locations all across the country. Each location then takes its time following the company’s high standards to turn it into outstanding breads and baked goods.
The new location will be open 7 am- 6 pm Mon.-Wed. and Fri., from 7 am – 4 pm Sat., and will be closed Thurs. and Sun.
