Now that football season has officially come to an end, many are looking ahead to springtime sports. With the Brewers reporting to spring training this week, baseball is at the top of many fans’ minds. For those in Lake Country, the DockHound’s opening day on Friday, May 9 may seem like a lifetime away. The team won’t let the winter weather keep them out of the stadium, though. The DockHaus Brewery and Restaurant at Wisconsin Brewery Company Park has its doors open for service on select evenings each week.

Each Wednesday and Friday, the DockHaus opens at 5 p.m. and features food and beverage options from Lake Louie Brewing. Exclusively on Fridays, the DockHaus offers an Italian fish fry provided through Albanese’s. Beyond the delicious dining options, these evenings also offer an opportunity for fans to get a chance to spend time inside WBC Park in the offseason. The facility’s fresh, lively atmosphere has been a welcome addition to Oconomowoc since it opened in 2021.

Most evenings, the DockHounds also provide an extra entertaining incentive for stopping by the DockHaus. These nights are usually kicked off with the team’s play-by-play broadcaster, Dominic Stearn. Dom hosts dialogue sessions that allow attendees to get a unique opportunity to engage with the energetic, young announcer. Skipper Dave often follows up these sessions with games of trivia or bingo that are fun for the whole family. On certain evenings, there are unique classes offered that can make for great dates, including a mixology and a charcuterie class. Another evening will even see the DockHaus hosting a signature cocktail contest. Almost every Wednesday and Friday allows the unique space making the very best of Wisconsin’s winter.

The restaurant’s menu offers not only a sample of baseball’s finest bites, but so much more as well. Ballpark staples such as nachos, chicken tenders, and a whopping half pound burger are available. However, there’s something for just about everyone, including seared salmon, chicken caprese salad, and even pizza. Frozen drinks like lime margaritas and strawberry daiquiris give guests a taste of the tropics. Of course, Lake Louie Brewing also has a great selection of their craft beers, some of which are exclusive to WBC Park.

Throughout the offseason, it’s difficult to find ways to scratch the baseball itch. The DockHounds solution is simple: They’ve opened their doors and are creating new ways to keep fans and Lake Country locals engaged all year long.
