Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of an apartment fire that broke out Thursday night in Pewaukee, according to City of Pewaukee Fire Department Battalion Chief Andrew Norris. As reported by the Oconomowoc Enterprise, the fire occurred at 451 Concord Road, where flames were spotted on both the second- and third-floor exterior balconies, the interior of a third-floor apartment, and the attic space.
Fire crews responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. and worked for over two hours to bring the fire under control, officially leaving the site by 10 p.m.
The City of Pewaukee Fire Department led the response with two engines, a ladder truck, an ambulance, and three fire chiefs on-site. Additional support came from Brookfield, Lake Country Fire & Rescue, Merton, Waukesha, and Menomonee Falls, showcasing the coordinated effort among local departments.
While the extent of the damage and any possible injuries have not been detailed, Norris confirmed that officials are still investigating what may have sparked the fire.
