The Brookfield Plan Commission has approved plans for a new farmer’s market coming to Brookfield. The owners and operate of Famers Market To Go, LLC have decided to start a new outdoor farmer’s market that will begin operating on June 1. The market will be held in the parking lot where Farmer’s Market To Go is currently located at 17000 West Capitol Drive. The current Brookfield farmer’s market is held on Saturdays from 8 until noon in the Brookfield East High School parking lot. This new market will be held on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This new outdoor farmer’s market will have additional vendors than those available inside the brick and mortar store. Employees have stated that there may be up to eighty spaces for vendors to sell their locally sourced goods. Due to its Sunday schedule, this new market will not conflict with the busy Saturday market schedule. Further, it will not conflict with the current Brookfield farmer’s market, which recently took third place in Milwaukee Mag’s “Best of the Burbs- Farmer’s Market” awards list. It clocked in right behind West Allis and Wauwatosa.

Farmer’s Market To Go launched early in November of 2025, with its grand opening being held on November 1. The store was created to be a space that would sell local, hand crafted goods that one might find at outdoor farmer’s markets all year long. The spacious storefront has been rapidly adding new products and brands as its popularity has risen. The space sells staples such as amish butter, beef tallow, fresh produce, and eggs. It also sells some of the Milwaukee area’s finest fare, like pre-made arepas, coconut soups, and Donut Monster’s famous bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Recently, they added a wide variety of gluten free baked goods as well as gluten free frozen pizzas for those with dietary restrictions.

Farmer’s Market To Go took over the space formerly occupied by the Saloon on Calhoun bar and restaurant. Since its closure, the property has been revamped. Flanking the Farmer’s Market are two other stores, co-operatively owned by the same group. On the left is a Salt Spot franchise that has salt caves, infrared saunas, and cold plunges. On the left is Better Knife, a kitchen store that has everything a kitchen could dream of, as well as knife sharpening services from trained professionals at the top of their craft.
