Two brand new residential facilities have broken ground at the Oconomowoc campus for Roger’s Behavioral Health center.
Roger’s is a national mental health service facility, with nearly 20 locations across the entire United States. Throughout the state of Wisconsin, Roger’s has nine different campuses in Oconomowoc, Appleton, Brown Deer, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Madison, Sheboygan, Wausau, and West Allis.
The non-profit organization offers addiction and mental health services to both children and adults, making it a valuable resource for every community. They also work diligently to stop the stigma surrounding mental health concerns, taking an individualized approached to treating those in their care.
These two new buildings would allow for an increased capacity and a greater chance of reaching those in need of Rogers’ services.
One of the new buildings will have 24 new bed spaces for those with eating disorder issues. The other building will have 20 new bed spaces for those with obsessive compulsive disorder.
Currently, the Oconomowoc location offers both residential and inpatient treatment programs. They have several different layers of care available to patients depending on their needed medical attention.
The main hospital has a variety of resources available. However, there is also a Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ladish Foundation Center that offers resources to those whose loved ones are in treatment. This is intended to be a welcoming environment that allows patients to be close to their families, helping give both parties a relaxing atmosphere to recharge. It is not an overnight facility, but it does offer amenities such as laundry, kitchen space, bathrooms, quiet spaces, and both indoor and outdoor areas for families to connect. Families of Roger’s patients are allowed to visit whether their loved one is presently in treatment or not, with no reservation required.
In addition to the main hospital (34700 Valley Rd., Oconomowoc), there are also associated buildings at Cedar Ridge, Silver Lake, Silver Lake North, and one in Delafield.
These additional buildings will be a part of the main campus, which sits on a 50 acre plot of land.
These new buildings will help those affected by mental health disorders have easier access to treatment.
