The Okauchee Area Business Association is hosting a special trick or treat celebration that is designed to bring the community together for a night of fun and fellowship.
Locals will have the opportunity to come together in downtown Okauchee and spend time with neighbors and area businesses.
The evening will begin at 5:45 with a pumpkin lighting ceremony at the Roundabout. Tip Top Roofing and Gutters is responsible for donating the pumpkins used in the display, while Lakefront Realty has sponsored the lighting of the display.
The students, families, and teachers at Lake Country Classical Academy played a major role in the pumpkin display, as they carved over one hundred fifty pumpkins used in it.
The creative display will bring attendees together in a magical moment of Halloween fun.
Then, at 6 pm local businesses will open their doors to allow families and children to come trick or treat until 8 pm. The first 300 kids in attendance will receive special goodie bags.
The evening also gives families and kids the opportunity to touch a truck. Throughout the street, people will be able to get up close with a front end loader, a snowplow, a police car, a fire truck, an ambulance, a Badgerland boat, a street sweeper, ATVs and UTVs, a cement truck, a spider lift, a farm tractor, a semi truck, a well truck, two race cars, and Tonya the Pink Fire Truck.
These trucks will line the street so that children can explore them while trick or treating. The street will close at 5:30 pm and will reopen at 8:30 pm, so residents are encouraged to be aware of the temporary road closure.
