A 210 acre plot of land at Pabst Farm’s in Oconomowoc is preparing to be used as space for new development.

The project’s working title is Harvest at Pabst Farms and it will see the space be developed into a mixed use property. The land is currently owned by Cobalt Partners, a Milwaukee area land development company. They have been working diligently alongside the community, holding meetings attended by residents and business owners to ensure all concerns are properly addressed.

The plot of land will stretch across Interstate 94, as it will use Delafield Road, Pabst Farms Boulevard, and Sawyer Road as borders.

Both the Cobalt Partners and a team of officials from Pabst Farms Development held a public information session on October 23, inviting residents from both Oconomowoc and Summit to attend.

At the meeting, it was announced that Cobalt intended to work alongside the community so that the project would not create challenges for those living nearby in the coming years. No official businesses have been announced but there is a clear push for the land to be put to use in coming years.

The maps suggest that there would be a variety of uses for the land. Some of the space would be used for residential properties, some would be used as green spaces, some as community and wellness areas, and others as retail, office, and hospitality spaces. Some of the retail would be in-line, while others would be stand alone.

Currently, a Costco is being built on a 27.3 acre plot of land in the middle of Pabst Farms. The new store would be over 160,000 square feet, modeling itself in the warehouse style of other chain locations. Plans also include a tire center and a fueling station.

The City of Oconomowoc agreed to the contract in August of 2025, while also pushing for the addition of a new water main system. These improvements in infrastructure also serve as indicators that additional developments can be expected in the coming years.

The new Costco is planned to open in 2026, with a bakery, a pharmacy, a hearing and vision center, a photo center, a car wash, and over 900 parking stalls.
