Congressman Bryan Steil released his first television ad of the 2022 campaign cycle, and it’s called “Back the Blue.” He said, “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. Everyone. Keeping our communities safe is a top priority for me. It’s critical that we support our men and women of law enforcement and ensure that they have the resources they need to protect and serve our communities. I will never stop working for them or you.”

Various police officers featured in the ad stated, “There has never been a tougher time to be a police officer—fighting crime with fewer resources. And now, a raging fentanyl crisis. And that’s why we need leaders who always have our back, and Bryan Steil always has our back.”

President of Kenosha Professional Police Associate, Pete Deates, commented, “The Kenosha Professional Police Association is endorsing Congressman Bryan Steil in his reelection. Law enforcement officers in Kenosha know that Congressman Bryan Steil will always have our back. He has proven it. I want to thank him for his support of our officers and his leadership here in Kenosha. We know he will be a strong partner moving forward as we work to keep our community safe.”

President of the Milwaukee Police Association also confirmed their endorsement of Bryan Steil, “Bryan has proven to be a tireless advocate for law enforcement officers and public safety. With violent crime on the rise in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas, it’s important that we have elected officials like Bryan Steil who are serious about keeping our communities safe and who will stand up for those who wear the badge. The Milwaukee Police Association is honored to endorse Congressman Bryan Steil in his reelection campaign.”

Milwaukee homicides are on pace to surpass last year’s record, and Kenosha has seen violent crime rates jump 26%. Law enforcement cannot ignore these numbers, and an overwhelming majority of officers, sheriffs, detectives, district attorneys, etc., have decided to secure their support for candidates who take public safety seriously and are tough on crime.
