U.S. News has released it’s list of thetop high schools in the nation.
Over 24,000 public schools were included in the ranking system, stretching across all fifty states and including schools in the District of Columbia.
464 of Wisconsin’s public schools made the list out of a potential 549. These schools stretch out across a total of 383 separate districts, and include over 18,000 full time teachers and over 275,000 enrolled students.
The Wisconsin assessment for excellence includes performance on ACT testing with writing, which can help determine skills in reading, writing, comprehension, math, and science.

#3: Eisenhower Middle and High School (New Berlin School District) – 98% graduation rate, 65.4 college readiness, 720 student enrollment, ranked #231 nationally
#4: Cedarburg High School (Cedarburg School District) – 98% graduation rate, 61.7 college readiness, 1085 student enrollment, ranked #329 nationally
#5: Homestead High School (Mequon Theinsville School District) – 98% graduation rate, 61.9 college readiness, 1225 student enrollment, ranked #382 nationally
#6: High School of Health Sciences (Kettle Moraine School District) – 100% graduation rate, 34.6 college readiness, 192 student enrollment, ranked #408 nationally
#7: Brookfield East High School (Elmbrook School District) – 98% graduation rate, 53.7 college readiness, 1172 student enrollment, ranked #570 nationally
