This weekend, several farmer’s markets will be opening for the start of the summer 2025 season. Throughout Waukesha County, the size and scope of each market varies wildly. Different vendors, food trucks, local offerings, and live entertainment can be found at each, meaning that there’s something worth checking out at every farmer’s market. Here is your ultimate guide to Lake Country’s farmers markets this year.

The Waukesha Farmer’s Market

The Waukesha Farmer’s market will begin on May 3rd and run through October 25th. It will be open each Saturday between those months from 8 a.m. to noon. The market is located beside the Fox River in the Waukesha State Bank parking lot near downtown. This market is. one of the biggest in the state, and has a unique selection of Wisconsin based producers. Last year, vendors included Great Harvest (Known for their fabulous sourdough) and Prairie Junction (Known for their Old-Fashioned flavored toffee).

The Brookfield Farmer’s Market

The Brookfield farmer’s market will also open on May 3rd and will take place on every Saturday this summer. Starting at 7:30 a.m., it’s one of the earliest opening farmers markets, making it a great first stop on your weekend bucket list. The market is held in the Brookfield Central Parking Lot.

The Oconomowoc Farmer’s Market

The Oconomowoc farmer’s market will also open on May 3rd for its 2025 season. Each Saturday through October, the market will be open from 8 a.m. until noon at the Bank Five Nine Campus Lot off of Wisconsin Avenue. This destination is great for family’s and is wheelchair accessible, but it does not allow pets- so leave the furry friends at home!

The Delafield Farmer’s Market

The Delafield Farmer’s market will be open every Saturday from May through October. It runs from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., meaning it is open slightly longer than others. The full list of vendors for this season have been announced, and they include businesses such as Crain’s Kettle Corn, Woodwork from Chuck, and Pete’s Pops (Which sells our all-time favorite fudgsical).

The Dousman Farmer’s Market

Starting on May 7, the Dousman farmer’s market is the perfect middle of the week farm fresh stop. It is scheduled to run each Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and has a relaxed atmosphere that is great for after school or work.

The Hartland Farmer’s Market

The Hartland farmer’s market is special because it takes place on Sundays. Running every Sunday from June through October, this market opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m. In the past, vendors such as Krenke’s Quails have sold quail eggs and quiches, with other local favorites like homemade sourdough and fresh vegetables also available for purchase.
