WAUKESHA, WI — Great teachers make a significant impact on their students, and in Waukesha, one such exceptional educator is Catherine Beris. Recognized for her dedication and compassion, Beris has left a lasting impression on her students and their families.

The Patch, in partnership with T-Mobile, has highlighted the importance of recognizing and appreciating outstanding teachers like Beris. This particular nomination was submitted by Laura Maier, whose grandson was fortunate to be a student in Beris’s kindergarten class.

Beris is praised for her exceptional patience and her heartfelt commitment to her students. Maier notes that Beris has a unique ability to help children come out of their shells, fostering social skills, self-esteem, and maturity. “Miss Beris is a kind person that has such a heart for her students! She has the most patience I have ever seen in a school atmosphere and never treats any child with favoritism,” Maier said.

Beris’s approach to teaching is characterized by making learning fun and engaging. Her carefully planned days are designed to help each child reach their goals. “She always made learning fun and perfectly planned the days to help her kids reach their goals! I recommend her highly and am so grateful that my grandson was in her class,” Maier added.

One thing that stands out about Beris, according to Maier, is her ability to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels valued. “You would be so blessed if your child was able to learn from her,” Maier emphasized.

Catherine Beris’s dedication and compassion make her a standout teacher in Waukesha, and her recognition is well-deserved. Her impact on her students’ lives is a testament to the profound difference great teachers can make.
