Since their opening, the Corners of Brookfield have continued to expand. Over the past few years, the outdoor mall has become known for its selection of exclusive and mid to high level retail stores, restaurants, and services. Additionally, it has also gained a reputation for its well executed events and its apartments.
Two weeks ago, the Corners opened up a new retail store.
Madewell, located at 220 Market Street, is one of only a handful of the brand’s stores to be located in Wisconsin. Known for their high end denim, Madewell also features a variety of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, from dresses and sweaters to shoes and handbags.
The new addition takes up nearly 5,000 square feet in its space beside the wedding dress retailer, Vow’d. While there is another Madewell store in southeastern Wisconsin at Mayfair Mall, that location does not carry men’s clothing items. The entire back section of the Brookfield store is dedicated to menswear.
The Corners is currently undergoing a redevelopment and expansion process that is a testament to its success.
Earlier this year, other stores such as Alo Yoga and MeatEater opened their doors. Both of these retail chains were the first from their brand to come to Wisconsin, with MeatEater’s Brookfield location being only the third in the nation.
Earlier this summer, another restaurant, Waking Daisy, began serving up a unique brunch experience that combines casual and cool dining. A pilates studio, [solidcore] opened recently, making it only the third location in Wisconsin for the popular fitness chain. Evereve, which has had a location at the Corners for many years, moved into a larger space this summer.
Not everything has been a success. In the past few years, both Wahlburgers and the Silver Spot Cinema closed. Each place offered dining services, with the Silver Spot also having an entertainment factor. However, since the two have been shuttered, they have been slated to transform into more retail space.
The Corners is continuing to expand. In the coming years, they are looking to add 40,000 more square feet of retail space and build another 278 apartments.
