The 2025 Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) held its annual celebration on Tuesday, November 4 at the Brookfield Conference Center.

The day long event featured a morning and afternoon small business market, where participants were given the opportunity to show off their various products and services. The business market is open to the general public and requires no additional fee, as admission is free of charge.

At noon, the market takes a brief hour and a half long break, which allows local business representatives to attend a special luncheon designed to both celebrate their hard work and encourage them

The luncheon’s guest speaker is Darcy Luoma, the author of Thoughtfully Fit® Luoma, a master certified coach, certified speaking professional, and the founder of Darcy Luoma Coaching and Consulting. Luoma often speaks about how people can identify their strengths and weaknesses, how to make sure they’re reaching their full potential, and gives them the tools for success.

The luncheon also allows several small business owners who are members of the WWBIC to share their testimonies as a way to further encourage and support those around them. Desserts are also being provided by several WWBIC members who are showing off their businesses through their food. Raffle baskets are also available for those feeling lucky.

Since 1987, the WWBIC has been doing its best to help out local entrepreneurs as they vow to “Put Dreams to Work”.

This year, the event has over 70 vendors participating in their annual marketing. It’s the perfect opportunity for companies to get to know their fellow business owners, show off their high quality goods and services, and give people a chance to get a head start on their Christmas shopping.

Some of the local business represented today include Tootsie’s Tea, Divine Melanin Beauty Supply, and Crash Box Therapy.

The WWBIC helps local business start, strengthen, and expand, meaning that they give opportunities to everyone from those just starting out to the well established businesses looking to grow. They offer entrepreneurs classes and training opportunities, as well as financial wellness opportunities, capital and lending opportunities, and coaching services.

The WWBIC currently has 6 offices throughout the state of Wisconsin with a staff of more than 50 employees.
