Tragedy Strikes Prolec Energy in Waukesha: Employee Dies in Electrical Accident

A tragic accident occurred at Prolec Energy in Waukesha on Saturday when an employee lost their life in an electrical incident involving a transformer.

TMJ-4 reports that the incident took place at the company’s transformer manufacturing facility, with authorities finding the employee’s body atop a transformer several feet in the air.

First responders attempted to save the employee’s life but were ultimately unable to do so. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Following the accident, employees were sent home early as Prolec Energy halted production and immediately contacted authorities.

In a statement released by the company, Prolec Energy expressed its commitment to supporting the investigation into the incident. They also shared that they had reached out to the employee’s family to offer condolences and support during this difficult time.

The Waukesha Police Department is leading the investigation to determine the events that led to the fatal accident. In their statement, WPD emphasized their priority of ensuring community safety and extended their sympathies to the family of the deceased.

This tragedy highlights the inherent risks in industrial workplaces and underscores the importance of rigorous safety protocols. As the investigation continues, Prolec Energy and local authorities are working to uncover what went wrong and ensure such an incident doesn’t occur again.
